Unplanned Pregnancy?

Unplanned Pregnancy?“I never thought I would have to make a decision like this.” We hear this statement from almost all Birthparents. It is a tough time with many questions such as:

* How do I get started?
* How will I pay my bills?
* What will people think of me?
* Can anyone interfere with my decision?
* When is my decision final?
* Do I go to court?
* Do I pay for anything?
* Will I get to pick the family?
* Will I know how the baby is doing through the years?

This website is designed to answer these questions and many more. Also, with the help of a caring, on-call maternity counselor with decades of experience, you will be guided with care through the process to make it as uncomplicated as possible.
Charlotte Duncan is available for your call at 713-529-4341.

This is a Texas non-profit adoption agency for Texas families.
How Do I place My Baby For Adoption?“

Call or email to receive the initial contact forms; it is never too early or too late to begin the process. Birth parents have contacted us as early as first learning that they are pregnant and as late as, after the baby is born; and Adoptexas has been able to help them find a wonderful adoptive family for their baby.Talk with Charlotte, the Maternity Intake Counselor to begin the process of working out the type of adoption plan and finding the family they want for their child.Phone and In-person counseling begins immediately for the preparation for the emotions and decisions that will be part of the birth parent’s placement experience. This counseling that starts at the very first contact continues as long as the birth parents require or request it.Select the adoptive parents you want for your child. Unlike many organizations and websites; Adoptexas does not put family profiles on the web. Each birth parent situation is so unique that we feel these decisions need to be made on a very personal and individualized basis after the Maternity Counselor has had the opportunity to get to know the birth parents personally and find out what their specific requests and requirements are.Our adoptive families will have been screened through three different criminal history data banks (Texas Department of Public Safety, Child Abuse History Registry, FBI fingerprinting) and will have had complete and thorough Home Studies following the rules set out by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. The child and adoptive family are monitored for a minimum of six months following the placement of the child in the home with monthly pediatrician’s visits and face-to-face visits with an agency representative.DOES THE BIRTH FATHER HAVE RIGHTSYes, the birth father does have rights. How these rights will affect a birth mother’s decision to place their child for adoption will be discussed on an individual basis.”
Adoptive Parents LettersCharlotte,Thank you so much for helping us through this process to make our family complete. I enclosed some photos I think you will like. Until we meet again: "May God bless you and keep you; may God shine His face upon you and be gracious to you; may God turn his face to you and give you peace." Numbers 6:24-26.

Birth Parent letters

Dear Charlotte,
I can't tell you how much I appreciate all your help. You were a good friend to me and I thank you for listening to me no matter how much I rambled on and for never trying to push me into my decision. Even though it was the hardest and most painful thing I have ever had to do, I have come to the conclusion that it was right. You made me as comfortable as I could possibly be with the decision by all your help. I know you prayed for me and prayed to find the right family for my son. It meant a lot to me that you took the time to find the right people and that you were still enough to listen to God when He told you to wait until my baby was born before considering Lawrence and Emily. I have faith that they are exactly the people God had to come along. You are doing a wonderful thing with your life and you have helped me through some tough times.
